What is Dynalink Photos?
Dynalink Photos is a storing and sharing solution for irreplaceable memories with your family. With up to 2TBs of storage space, you can store over 600,000 photos with your close ones.
How many accounts can Dynalink Photos support?
One Dynalink Photos can support up to 6 accounts. One device for six family members.
What are the differences between Dynalink Photos and Google Photos?
You do not need to pay the monthly fee on Dynalink Photos. Once you buy it, you get permanent 2TBs of storage that is exclusive to you and can store almost 600,000 photos! Google Photos has ended its unlimited free storage since July 2021. To have storage of more than 15GB, a monthly fee is required. The 2TB storage solution on Google Photos charges $100 annually!
How is the Dynalink Photos different from Cloud Space?
Dynalink Photos is high security and high privacy!
All files stored on Dynalink Photos are stored in your Dynalink Photos device. You have the right to edit access permission and prevent your files from being collected or used by people you do not allow.

Registration & Installation

Mobile Device

How to install Dynalink Photos and create a new account?
  1. Connect to the internet.Plugin the power cord and Ethernet cable to connect the Dynalink Photos to the same router as your devices.
  2. Download app.Search "Dynalink Photos" on App Store or scan QR code on the official website "Software & Tips" page.
  3. Scane QR code.Open the app and scane the QR code at the bottom of Dynalink Photos.
  4. Create the account(username) and password.Follow the registration process on the app to create an account.
Note: to create another account, please follow steps 2, 3, and 4 again.
Why are my mobile devices unable to connect to my Dynalink Photos?
The Wi-Fi router that your mobile device is connected to needs to be the same as the one Dynalink Photos is connected to.
Why my app cannot find the Dynalink Photos device when creating the account?
Please connect your mobile devices Wi-Fi to the same router as your Dynalink Photos.
How to create an account if my family & friends do not have the QR code that is found at the bottom of Dynalink Photos?
  1. Download Dynalink Photos app on your family/friends' phone.
  2. Open the app on your phone and click "Invite members" on the side menu.
  3. Share the QR code with your family members and friends to scane and register.

Google TV

How to access Dynalink Photos on Google TV?
  1. Search and download "Dynalink Photos" from Google TV Store. You also can download the software on Software & Tips page of the Dynalink Photos website.
  2. Ensure the network connection of Google TV is connected to the same router as your Dynalink Photos. The software will connect to the Dynalink Photos device automatically.
  3. Open the software and view the photos & videos in a shared space. Logging in is not required.
Note: TV box must be Google TV compliant
How to log in account on Google TV?
  1. Open the software on Google TV and click "Settings."
  2. Click "Log in" and select the account you want to log in to -> Generate a QR code on Google TV.
  3. Open the app on mobile devices and click "log in on other platforms."
  4. Log in directly by scaning the QR code.

Account

What to do if I forget my password?
  1. Please click "Forgot password" on the login screen and enter your username. The system will send a verification code to the verified email.
  2. Enter the verification code and create a new password.
What should I do if I forget my password and haven't verified my email?
The email is for rescuing your password. If the email is not yet verified, the only solution is to reset your account through admin. The system will delete all the files in your private space.
Which account is the admin account? What can the admin do?
The first registered account is the admin account. The admin has administrator level permission on Dynalink Photos.
Administrator permission including system update/ format hard drive/ remove users.
Notice: remove users function will permanently delete the files in the removed user's private space.
Is the admin able to view other users' photos & videos in a private space?
The admin account is not able to view other users' photos & videos if they are located within a private space.
How many devices can a user register on Dynalink Photos?
Each user can log in up to 5 devices, including mobile devices, and Google TV. Dynalink Photos can log in up to 10 devices at the same time.

Share or Backup Photos & Videos

How to quickly share photos and videos with family members?
Your family members who have created an account can view the photos & videos in the shared space once you uploaded the files.
How to back up files on Dynalink Photos to external devices?
  1. Plug in the external drive you want to back up from Dynalink Photos and click "Settings" in the menu.
  2. Click "Export."
  3. Select the storage space you want to back up and click "Next" to start exporting.
How to back up files on external devices to Dynalink Photos?
Plug in an external device you want to back up. Press the "One-click Copy" button and back up all the files to your Dynalink Photos. Dynalink Photos will automatically create an album named according to the current time. E.g., create an album at 13:14 on July 4, 2021. This album's name will be 202107041314.
How to automatically back up photos/videos on mobile devices to Dynalin Photos?
In iOS and Android specifications, you need to open the app in order to upload the files automatically. We created a notification message to remind users to back up by one tap on the app.
  1. Click "Settings" in the menu.
  2. Click "Preferences" and adjust backup and downloading settings for Dynalink Photos.

Delete or Reset Photos & Videos

How to check and delete duplicates on Dynlink Photos?
  1. Click "Storage" in the menu.
  2. Click "Find Duplicates." This function can scan all files in your private space and find duplicates to delete.
Can I restore photos & videos from Trash?
Yes, you can.
  1. Click "Trash" in the menu and select the photos & videos you want to restore.
  2. Click "Restore." The photos & videos selected will be added back into the album they were in.
How to permanently delete photos & videos on Dynalink Photos?
  1. Click "Trash" in the menu and selected the photos & videos you want to permanently delete.
  2. Click "Delete." The photos & videos selected will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Hard Drive

What do the different colored LED lights on Dynalink Photos device represent?
  1. White light
    Solid: -device working
    Flashing: -files transferring
    Breathing light: -device is in sleep mode
  2. Red light
    Solid: -network disconnected -sytem has some problems
    Flashing: -system initialling -software update is running
    Breathing light: -network connection error -transition speed is lower than 20MB
